Japanese December Blog

JNL(Kokugo group)

In this month G6 students thought about their relation with books and wrote an essay about their favorite book. Before writing essay, we learned how to write an essay effectively to introduce them to others.

In the “Kajika no Byobu” unit, we imagined the story by looking a picture and after that we enjoyed listening the old tale. In the end of this unit we watched a old tale of Kanagawa.

Next term they will research about their town where they live and make a pamphlet.

In this month we made a poster about favorite book.
For Japanese grammar we practiced explaining certain location and, dictionary form and past tenses.
For Kanji practice we learned unit 4 from Kanji Daisuki textbook 3.

Students have homework during winter break, so please check it with your child.

As I told in the class we will make a pamphlet about our town, so please search and ask your family, relatives or neighbors about your town and think about what you want to tell in your pamphlet. For example, places, foods and events and so on.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact with me.

Have a great winter break!
