In Grade 6 Music Class, students are continuing to build basic skills on the ukulele. They have learned how to play several chords, and use a variety of strum patterns to make their rhythms more interesting. Some of the songs that we enjoyed playing in class together were Skip to My Lou, He’s Got the Whole World, and The Lion Sleeps tonight. We will soon start practicing for the Celebration of Learning, which will take place in December. I encourage students to practice daily, and to use the website listed on the front of their workbooks to help them practice.
